About Toni: Toni Tipton-Martin is an award-winning author, Editor in Chief of Cook’s Country magazine and PBS television show (by America’s Test Kitchen), recipient of the Julia Child Foundation Award, and founder of a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating a healthier community. Her new recipe book, Juke Joints, Jazz Clubs and Juice: Cocktails from Two Centuries of African American Cookbooks, joins highly-acclaimed works The Jemima Code: Two Centuries of African American Cookbooks and Jubilee: Recipes From Two Centuries of African American Cooking in celebrating Black cookbook history. She is a founding member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, Foodways Texas and Soul Summit, a culinary heritage conference.
